accessible limestone garden

This is a north facing front garden in Weymouth and is approximately 15 x 4.5m.  It was overgrown with poorly laid pre-cast concrete paving.  The soil is acidic, sandy loam.

The clients, who are retired, wanted an attractive, accessible garden with mainly permeable hard landscaping on which to park their car and access their house.

Requirements for the new garden design/landscape architecture:

  • An accessible garden

  • Parking for 1 car

  • An attractive entrance to the house

  • No lawn

Client testimonial:

“KINDLY AND FRIENDLY GUIDANCE:

"We first contacted Ann last year about redesigning the garden at our home in Weymouth, which was at that time very neglected and in need of radical work.

"From our first meeting she was so enthusiatic about the project, and in a kind and friendly way guided us through the stages of planning - from the Outline Plan to the final detailed layout, including the plants and colours we liked.

"She worked closely with the landscapers, monitoring the construction from start to planting.  Her design has produced a lovely, colourful garden that is exactly what we wanted. We will enjoy using it and watching it mature over many years to come.

"Ann’s work has also been much appreciated and admired by our neighbours! We highly recommend Ann.”

This garden was constructed by Gregorys Landscapes of Piddlehinton.
